Dear friends at St. Mary Parish,
I thoroughly enjoyed my time with you March 6-8, 2022, as we discussed ways that we find healing from our past wounds. There is a wonderful spirit in your parish, and I was amazed by the turnout each night. I particularly would like to thank Fr. Dindo and Fr. Sam for the invitation to be with you. Thank you also to John Compton, Danielle Kuboushek, Michael Berger, and everyone else who helped with the mission.
Here are some resources for you for ongoing formation and healing:
1) We have a Men’s Be Healed retreat April 1-3, 2022 at the Carmelite Center in Darien - Catholic Men's Two Night Retreat - Apr. 01-03, 2022 Tickets, Fri, Apr 1, 2022 at 6:00 PM | Eventbrite
2) I post written reflections on the daily Scriptures. If you would like to subscribe, please visit my blog at http://frburke23.wordpress.com.
3) I post a 5-minute video each day on the daily Mass readings on my YouTube channel - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCOt-ntVKl9ko98Yd7uiuWOA?view_as=subscriber
4) Books that I recommend reading:
a. “Be Healed” by Dr. Bob Schuchts
b. “Unbound” by Neil Lozano
c. “Man Your Post” by Carrie & Duane Daunt (Fr. Burke wrote a chapter of this book)
Remember that it is God’s love that heals. Invest time in your relationship with the Holy Trinity. Find security in the infinite love of God and allow Him to transform your heart and heal your wounds. God desires you to be free so you can always choose to do and say the next right thing.
God bless,
Fr. Burke
