Synod Listening Sessions
The Church is Listening.
Pope Francis opened a worldwide Synod and invited all the faithful to give their feedback and views on the future of the Church through a local consultation process, which culminates with the Synod of Bishops 2023. The theme for the synod is “For a Synodal Church: Communion, Participation and Mission”. The purpose was to listen to the community to discern our path forward to be a better Church that is able to live communion, achieve greater participation, and be more open to mission. The Synod posed the following fundamental question:
*A synodal Church, in announcing the Gospel, “journeys together.” How is this “journeying together” happening today in your local Church?
*What steps does the Spirit invite us to take in order to grow in our “journeying together”?
